This leaflet has been written by a physiotherapy patient to support people who are about to attend, or who are currently attending, physiotherapy. It is an A5, double sided, folded leaflet and is free to use by anyone, for the purposes of supporting physiotherapy patients.
It has been developed following requests to turn the basis of my post called ‘Making the Most of Physiotherapy‘ into a leaflet.
I wish to acknowledge all the help and support from both patients and physiotherapists in developing this patient resource.
Please let me know if you have any ideas for improvement. Also please can you give me any feedback on whether the leaflet proves to be a useful resource with patients or not. My email is tina@livingwellpain.net
I hope soon to develop a ‘sister’ leaflet for MSK services, and another for pain management services.

maybe include something about making sure that the appointment times suit you and are not just convenient to the physio. For example I found that physio worked better for me if I had an appt later in day when I could go home afterwards rather than have to go back to work. A lot of physios have clinic hours to suit themselves so check beforehand and book them in one go.
Thank you Bernadette – very useful and valid points, which I fully agree with.

I’m a Paediatric Physiotherapist and I love your leaflet. Once you have completed it I’d love to be able to support you in providing a similar leaflet for Children and Young People as I think this would be invaluable.
Thank you for sharing this. Please feel free to contact me if you would be interested in expanding the scope of your leaflet.
Best wishes
Jenny
Hi Jenny
Thank you – and yes, I would love to work with you to develop a paediatric leaflet. I’ll email you.
